Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, has defended under-pressure Paul Pogba, insisting that his team-mates have to do better too.
Pogba was benched by Jose Mourinho last night, as the Red Devils travelled to Sevilla for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
He was however, summoned from the bench, when Ander Herrera was forced off with a hamstring injury.
Pogba failed to impose himself on proceedings as David De Gea starred in a 0-0 draw.
Keane insists United’s problems stretch further than Pogba, particularly the form of forwards Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
“Pogba is a really good player.
“He is under a lot of pressure at the moment, there is a lot of speculation about him, he was left out tonight – but you’d still have him in your starting XI.
“Off the field, he has a big personality – social media, his haircuts, the cars he drives, he needs to bring that on the pitch.
“But United’s problems aren’t just with Pogba. Lukaku needs to do more, Sanchez has got to do better, they need to reinvest in some defenders.
“You can’t keep pointing the finger at Pogba, but the lad has got to do better,” Keane told ITV.
