Round-up of NPFL Week 27 games: Enyimba go five points clear, Sunshine stumble

Enyimba of Aba, on Wednesday hammered FC Ifeanyi Ubah 4-0, to open a five-point gap at the top of the table.

The six-time champions now have 53 points from 27 games and are on a 10-match unbeaten run. Second-placed Sunshine Stars failed to beat Heartland in Akure, as the game ended goalless.

In Oghara, Giwa FC captain Charles Henlong salvaged a point, as they were held to a 1-1 draw with hosts Bayelsa United.

Ukeme Davies saved Akwa United from a second home defeat, when he equalized in the 84th minute against El-Kanemi Warriors.

Warri Wolves thrashed Shooting Stars 4-0 at the Warri City Stadium, while Lobi Stars, Abia Warriors and champions Kano Pillars produced 1-0 wins over Dolphins, Nasarawa United and Kwara United respectively. .
