Ronaldo will retire at Real Madrid – Mendes

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has said that he expects the player to retire at Real Madrid.

The Portugal captain has been linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, but Mendes insists he will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for a long time.

“He’s the best player of all-time,” Mendes told Sky Sports.

“And I am sure that he will play the next four, five, six, seven years at Real Madrid; he will end his career there.

“He’s happy with Los Blancos; he’ll hang up his boots when he’s 40.”

Mendes, also addressed speculation linking another of his client, Jose Mourinho, with the Manchester United job.

“Mourinho is now in Brazil. Let’s see what will happen when he return,” Mendes added.

“Jose has to feel comfortable because he is the No 1 in the world.

“For now, I am not going to speak about Spain nor England nor Italy. I repeat, he is No 1 and now he is on holiday.”
