Brazil and Real Madrid legend Ronaldo has been discharged from the hospital after spending several days, following a pneumonia scare in Ibiza.
The 41-year-old was rushed to Can Misses Hospital on the island on Friday evening.
He was discharged on Tuesday and took to his Twitter handle to confirm his return to health, while thanking hospital staff and all those who sent him well wishes during his ordeal.
“Hello everyone! I’m already home after a few days at the clinic. Thank u for your love and comments, and many thanks to the team of doctors and nurses,” the former football star wrote.
“Thanks my love Celina Locks for being by my side. It’s going to be an amazing season with tons of great football and surprises.”
Ronaldo is regarded as one of the finest footballers of all time and broke the world transfer record twice before he was 21.
