Juventus’ new signing, Cristiano Ronaldo, is now the third best-paid footballer in the world, following his stunning £100 million move from Real Madrid.
Ronaldo has agreed a £500,000-a-week contract with the Serie A champions.
The Portugal captain moves above Alexis Sanchez, who earns £23.4m a year following his move to Manchester United back in January.
He is, however, behind rival Lionel Messi (£40.5m a year) at Barcelona and Neymar (£31.7m) at Paris Saint-Germain.
Some players currently plying their trade in the lucrative Chinese Super League also make the top-ten list.
