Ronaldo, Messi, Van Persie, Falcao make list of attackers nominated for FIFA World XI

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who have already made the three finalists for the 2012 Ballon D’Or, are also included in the attacking nominations for the FIFA FIFpro World XI.

The shortlist of 15 includes names like Edison Cavani, Robin van Persie, Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao, etc.

They were all voted for by the 50,000 players, who are part of the professional footballers’ union FIFpro, in a secret ballot. The final World XI selection will be announced at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony on January 7, 2013.
