Ronaldo has signed his last contract with us – Hertha Berlin claims

German Bundesliga side, Hertha Berlin have claimed that they have sealed a deal with Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo, saying that he will join them in the future after the Portuguese signed what he described as his “penultimate” contract on Monday.

The Berlin outfit, who are in fine form, sitting fourth in the table after 10 games of the 2016-17 campaign, jokingly claimed that they have already signed a deal with the Portugal captain.

He told reporters at Monday’s press conference, “No-one knows what the future holds. Of course I would like to end my career at this club. This is my penultimate contract; I want to be here for many years to come.”

However, the German club took to their official Twitter handle to insist that it is with them that Ronaldo has signed his final deal in football.

The tweet in German translates to, “Cristiano says it’s his penultimate contract?! He’s signed his last one with us!”

The Portugal captain is currently on international duty with his teammates as the Euro 2016 winners face Latvia in a World Cup qualifier on November 13.
