Atlectico Madrid and French forward, Antoine Griezmann, has admitted that Portuguese captain, Cristiano Ronaldo is in pole position to claim the next Ballon d’Or award.
He spoke immediately after France’s defeat to Portugal in the Euro 2016 championship.
He told Goal, “For the Ballon D’Or, it is all over.
“Ronaldo won the two big competitions this season.”
Greizmann who played a major role in Atlectico’s Champion League quest and France European championship campaign had been tipped by many to beat Ronaldo and Messi to the 2016 edition of the award.
But the attacking midfielder, who notched in 6 goals in the just concluded Euro 2016 championship has admitted easily that Ronaldo, a three time winner of the award is already in pole position to grasp a fourth one.
