Cristiano Ronaldo has been rewarded for his outstanding goalscoring form, by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
The Portugal captain scored a total of 69 goals in all competitions for club and country, to emerge the highest goalscorer in 2013.
Ronaldo posted a picture of him receiving the award on Thursday and wrote on his Instagram page: “I feel honored to win the World’s Top Goalscorer 2013 award by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics. Thank you all.”
The 29-year-old has also started this season in blistering fashion and is part of the Madrid team currently on a 17-match unbeaten run. They host Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu this Saturday.
