Barcelona midfielder, Sergio Busquets has described their 3-0 humiliation in the hands of Roma, as the “worst night of my career”.
The LaLiga leaders went into the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash with a 4-1 lead.
But they ended up crashing out of the competition, thanks to a superb display from the Italians who are now in the semi-finals.
Barcelona have now been eliminated in the quarter-finals for three seasons running.
“Yes, probably yes,” said Busquets when asked if this was the worst blow he has suffered in a Barcelona shirt.
“We came from a very positive dynamic this season and today, sadly, everything has been cut short.
“We still have to go for all the titles (La Liga and the Copa del Rey), it wouldn’t be a bad season, but it will be conditioned by what we did here today in Rome,” he added.
