Following the retirement of Alhaji Ahmadu Giade as Chairman of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, after 10 years in service, Mrs Roli Bode George has been appointed to take charge of the agency as Acting Chairman.

The appointment of Mrs Bode George is considered as a significant gender balance by the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration that has been called on to have more women in strategic positions.

Chairman of Women Initiative Group, WING, Mrs Tinuade Joseph described the appointment of Mrs Bode Goerge as a good step in “redressing the gender imbalance in the recent appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari.”
