Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has denied speculations in the French media that he is about to dump Nigeria for French club Girondis Bordeaux.
The Franco-German had a long history with Bordeaux having enjoyed an illustrious playing and coaching career with the club.
Rohr played for Les Girondins for 12 years, making 352 appearances.
In 1996, he led the club to the UEFA Cup final, where they lost to Bayern Munich over two legs.
He told tf1.fr, “I have not been contacted to resume as coach of Girondins de Bordeaux.
“It’s a club that’s in my heart, and when I come back to France, I’m in this region.
“But I’m under contract with Nigeria; we’re going to do the World Cup, it’s an adventure that interests me first and foremost.”
The 64-year-old, recently penned a new two-year contract following a successful World Cup qualifying campaign with Nigeria.
