Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has said he is relying on Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi, to make a huge difference, when they take on Zambia in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
Iwobi, who is a nephew of former Nigeria captain, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, missed Rohr’s first match in charge against Tanzania last month.
He however scored twice, as the Eagles defeated Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Plateau United, on Wednesday.
Rohr is hoping the 20-year-old carries his form into the game in Ndola.
“I count a lot on him to help us to win the game,” he said.
“He was not in the last time against Tanzania because he was injured. He a good player and I hope he is fully integrated for our first big match in Ndola.
“We must have a good attack, play as a team and have players who can score. That was the problem in Uyo where we did not score enough – we had 27 shots at goal and only got a goal. It was a problem.”
