Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has disclosed that he already knows 20 of the 23 players he will be taking to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Rohr has already released a 30-man provisional squad from which he will drop seven players.
“I have in my head, 20 out of the 23 players going to the World Cup. The other three, I have to watch them again and again,” he told reporters at the team’s camp in Uyo on Friday.
The German has also insisted that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had no influence over his choice of the 30 players he picked.
“We had total influence on the provisional list. We have at least two players per positions and we did the list together – me and my coaching team.
“I did not get a single interference from the NFF on the list,” Rohr added.
