Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has called up two home-based players as replacements for injured Chelsea winger, Victor Moses and Watford’s Isaac Success, who would be unavailable for the Super Eagles’ crunch encounter with Zambia in Ndola on Sunday.
Both players were called up as part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying against the Chipolopolo.
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, however were informed during the weekend that Moses had hamstring trouble.
They were also told that Success, who scored Watford’s second goal in their 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth on Saturday, had a knock and was finding it difficult to walk.
Rohr has immediately called up Godwin Obaje of Wikki Tourists and Chisom Egbuchulam of League Champions, Enugu Rangers, to take the places of the two injured players.
Obaje ended the NPFL season as top scorer with 18 goals while Egbuchulam netted 15 times to come second top scorer.
The match between the Super Eagles and the Chipolopolo will start at 1:30 pm Nigeria time on Sunday.
