Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has hinted that Vincent Enyeama could be in his squad to the 2018 World Cup.
Enyeama has been on exile from the team, after a row with former coach, Sunday Oliseh.
It led to the former Lille stopper losing the captain’s armband and announcing his international retirement.
However, Rohr says Enyeama is working his way back to full fitness and could feature in the World Cup for a fourth time.
“He has just been operated on his meniscus, he is presently doing a lot of works in terms of fitness.
“He has already played in three World Cup, he could be a record man as a goalkeeper to play in four World Cup.
“It could be a challenge for him, I think he is working on that but actually what is the situation we are unlucky in this position, because he was injured already for a long time,” he said in a radio interview with Lagos Talks FM.
