Brendan Rodgers is set to remain as Liverpool boss, after he held talks with the club’s hierarchy.
On Tuesday, the 42-year-old sat down with chairman Tom Werner and Fenway Sports Group president, Mike Gordon and gave him assurances about his job.
Rodgers has been under pressure, after the Reds were beaten 6-1 by Stoke City on the last day of the Premier League and the Northern Irishman admitted he would leave if he was asked to.
However, after all parties met, an agreement has been reached for Rodgers to continue in charge of the Anfield side.
This means Rodgers can begin restructuring his squad ahead of the new campaign.
