Residents of Udaburu Ugbugbu, a suburb of Owukpa in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State are currently living in fear following constant attacks on them by some men believed to be armed robbers.
The bandits have been terrorising road users on Onyirada hill, along the Aho-Ukwo road.
DAILY POST gathered that last night, some persons heading towards Aho from Ukwo were ambushed by the gunmen on Onyirada hill and were robbed of their belongings. One person was reportedly shot in the process while trying to outsmart the robber.
“We have been living in fear. This is the third time this month. Onyirada hill is now a dead zone,” Anthony, a resident of the community told our reporter.
When our reporter visited the scene Friday morning, there was splash of blood on the road and the belongings of one of the victims scattered all over.
Meanwhile, the victim is currently gasping for breath at St. Daniel Hospital, Ukwo Owukpa.
