A Police officer, identified as Corporal Gbenga Samuel, attached to Denton Police station in Oyingbo, Lagos State was Tuesday, shot at his manhood after a group of unidentified armed robbers attacked him and his men on patrol in the Mile 12 area of the state.
According to reports, Samuel is currently in coma at an unnamed hospital with his manhood reportedly shattered by gun bullets from the AK47 rifles allegedly used by the robbers.
The bullets reportedly penetrated their patrol van and hit Samuel on the waist, shattering his private part.
In the same vein, another corporal, Fidelis Omage, from Security Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, was also reportedly injured in the attack. Reports reveal that the bullets hit him on his shoulder and wrist.
Another patrol team that got the information, got to the scene and allegedly opened fire on the robbers at Market Street. Two members of the gang reportedly fled, while two others were arrested. An AK47 rifle was recovered from the criminals.
There is no official statement from the police on the incident yet.
