Two persons have been reportedly assassinated in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The victims of the assassination were identified as, John Barine and Goodluck Didi.
A source within the area who identified his name as Hycient Ana told DAILY POST that the gunman laid ambush on the victims outside their residence and opened fire on them.
One of the victims, Goodluck Didi, a gateman to one of the notable politicians and John Barine who was an uncle to the same politician in the area were said to have walked out of the compound to check what was happening when they were shot dead by the suspected assassins.
Ana called for increased security surveillance, especially in Ogoni axis.
Ana who is spokesman for Ogoni Pass Students Leaders’ Forum condemned the killing.
When contacted the spokesman for Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni denied knowledge of the killings and promised to get details.
