Caretaker Committee Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi, has called on the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, to reconsider the fate of the six police officers attached to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, that were dismissed for alleged misconduct.
DAILY POST recalls that ex-Inspector, Eyong Victor, ex-Sgts. Peter Ekpo, Oguni Goodluck, Orji Nwoke, Okpe Ezekiel and Tanko Akor were dismissed over alleged professional misconduct during legislative rerun elections in the state.
Makarfi said that the decision of the police was biased.
In a chat with newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, Makarfi said, “The dismissal of the officers was politically motivated.
“Their fate should be reconsidered for the sake of justice,” he added.
