Fully armed unidentified thugs have hijacked electoral material from unit 16, ward 8 in Ikwerre Local Government Area, LGA of Rivers State, the home country of the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.
This is coming barely an hour after voting was suspended at Amaechi’s unit 14 ward 8, Ubima community, in the LGA. The hoodlums invaded the unit and shot severally in the area causing tension.
They chased voters away before hijacking the material into the bush at about 2:00pm when voting was supposed to be on.
Amaechi is said to have led a team of security personnel in search of the hoodlums.
