Rivers rerun: Governor Wike allegedly caught on tape trying to rig elections [LISTEN]

A telephone conversation allegedly made between the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been leaked.

The audio, which was obtained by SaharaReporters, apparently shows Wike trying to rig the recently concluded legislative rereun in the state.

Wike is heard threatening to collect his money back from an INEC official, who was backing out of the plan and even vowed to kill him.

An INEC official confirmed that most of the electoral officers who were part of the Rivers rerun, were drafted from Plateau and Oyo States.
