Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, has expressed high hopes for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP ahead of the re-run election fixed for July 30th to conclude elections into Legislative seats in Rivers state.
Recent comment by governor Wike drifted impediment and worries in opposition political party in the state, the All Progressives Congress.
In one of his media chats over the week, the Governor fermented the hopes of the APC in wining the scheduled July 30th rerun elections in the remaining eight local government areas where elections were formally declared inconclusive.
Wike boasted that, “no Jupiter” will make his party, the PDP not to sweep the remaining eight Local Government Areas including the three Senatorial seats especially that of the Rivers South East, the citadel of Sen Magnus Abe, the candidate of the APC.
He said, “If they like let them make the National Chairman of APC, John Oyegun, the REC and APC leaders the E.Os, APC will still lose in Rivers State”.
