In the meantime, the Police High Command has declared the Caretaker Chairman of Asari-Toru Local government area of Rivers state, Sobomabo Jackrich aka ‘Egberipapa’ wanted.

The Force Headquarters in a statement signed by DIG Sotonye Wakama said the CTC chairman was declared wanted following the raid on his homes and hide-outs where AK-47 rifles and other offensive weapons were found.

The statement from the command confirmed the arrest of Asinton Jackrich, Ipalibo Jackson, Destiny Lawson and Godknows Cotterel in the raid.

The statement further says the suspects are currently being prosecuted at the Magistrate court in Port Harcourt.

“It is pertinent to remind you that the suspects were arrested after a coordinated raid by the police where an AK-47 rifle and other offensive weapons were recovered from them. Others who are now at large include one Sobomabo Jackrich and have been declared wanted by the police,” the statement reads.

Recall that the CTC Chairman of Asari-Toru Local government area, Egberipapa had denied being involved in gun-running and other criminal activities.

He berated the former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi for referring to him as a militant despite his acceptance of the amnesty.
