Rivers: I didn’t use human parts to cook pepper soup – Kidnap suspect

One Roland Peterside who allegedly uses human parts to make pepper soup at Abaripko community in Ahaoda-East Local government area of Rivers state has been arrested by the police in the state.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Zaki had during his media briefing said Roland Peterside was arrested while allegedly preparing pepper soup with human parts at his restaurant in Abaripko.

According to CP Zaki, “The Command arrested one Roland Peter, a member of a notorious gang that kidnapped Pastor Samuel Okpara from Edoha, in Ahaoda who was kidnapped and killed and beheaded and whose liver and intestine were used for pepper-soup and plantain pottage. They were arrested while preparing their meal.

“He is alleged to be in possession of the gang’s riffles led by one Justus popularly known as High Tension from Abaripko in Ahaoda-East Local government area.”

Meanwhile, speaking with newsmen at the Police Headquarters, forty-seven year old Peterside denied the allegation, saying he was arrested for illegal possession of fire arms.

Peterside however said he is a Pastor and not a cannibal as alleged by the police.

“Yes, I have a kitchen where I cook for people to come and eat. It is my religion that permits me to help people. Especially those who are hungry. But this thing that Police is saying that I cook with human parts is a lie. What I use to cook my food is fish. I don’t use human parts.

“My wife makes the food and we give anybody that wants to eat. I am a man of God and also a mechanic. The police arrested me because they claim that cultists use to keep guns in my house which is not true.”
