Rivers: Heavily-armed security operatives surround Wike’s father’s home

As the rerun elections get underway across Rivers State, there has been a heavy deployment of security operatives around the state governor, Chief Nyesom Wike’s father’s home in Rumuepirikom, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, as the Governor arrived to cast his ballot.

The presence of the fully armed stern-looking security men are believed to have stormed the area in order to forestall breakdown of law and order in view of the growing tension that has trailed Saturday’s Federal and State Houses of Assembly rerun polls in the state.
