Few hours after sacking over 300 teaching and non-teaching staff of the state owned polytechnic, RIVPOLY, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has announced the dissolution of the management of the state owned University, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.
Wike also dissolved the Boards of the Rivers State School of Health and Technology, School of Nursing, the Rivers State Polytechnic and the Rivers State School of Arts and Science.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Tariah said government had warned against flouting the dissolution.
The state also disbanded the state Traffic Agency, the Rivers State Traffic Management, an agency set up by the former Governor, Rotimi Amaechi administration to manage the traffic situation in the state.
