A presidential candidate on the platform of the now rested Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in 2011, Nuhu Ribadu has joined the PDP.
Punch reports that siblings of the ex EFCC boss, registered for him at his Makama Ward in Yola South and sent the registration card to him in Abuja to enable him pick the PDP governorship form for the Adamawa State governorship election.
Though Ribadu is yet to confirm the development, sources say he would likely make his intention known to the media on Monday.
However, the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party denied knowledge of Ribadu’s movement from the All Progressives Congress.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Ibrahim Jalo, said, “It is after the official defection that we can say whether he had moved or not and whether he will get waiver or not. Even at that, he has to ask for the waiver.”
It was observed that prominent members of the PDP took to various social media platforms to congratulate Ribadu.
