The Abia State government has called on a former governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu to order, warning him to stop making further unguarded statements that are capable of setting the state ablaze.
DAILY POST recalls that the former governor had, in an interview with journalists, accused Governor Theodore Orji of using the military to intimidate him not to vote in 2011, warning that if such was tried in the coming elections “our people will burn down the state and that would be the end of Governor Orji’s administration.”
While reacting to the statement, the state Commissioner of Information, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere, condemned it and asked the former governor to apologise to the state government and its people within the next 72 hours or face legal actions.
The Commissioner alleged that the former governor was trying to cause trouble in the state by inciting the people by spreading falsehood, warning him to retrace his steps or face the law.
