Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Tuesday mocked those agitating for restructuring of the country.
He said the proponents did not properly understand the matter they were clamouring for.
Ortom said this in Makurdi, the Benue capital in a chat with journalists.
He said the agitators were all speaking in different tones, making it difficult for Nigerians to have a good idea of what exactly they wanted.
Ortom said that was why leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) delcared that they did not know what the agitators were demanding.
“Those talking about restructuring don’t even know what they are talking about.
“There is no coordinated approach to it and that was why my party came up to say they don’t understand what the people are talking about,” he said.
The governor called for caution from the crusaders and appealed to them to allow their elected representatives at the National Assembly do the job they were elected to do.
