Many persons were on Wednesday feared dead as an oil tanker went up in flames on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The content of the tanker reportedly spilled after it fell at Kara, along the Expressway.
The explosion has so far affected mostly residents who went to scoop petrol from the fallen tanker.
The accident occurred at about 4a.m.
The fire is said to be far spreading to the opposite side of the busy Expressway, leaving a huge traffic to in-bound and out-bound vehicles.
Scores were said to have been trapped while the number of deaths could not be ascertained as at press time.
