The residence of the Senior Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Waripamowei Dudufa in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State was over the weekend attacked by gunmen who disguised as mobile policemen, carting away unspecified items.

It was gathered that the gunmen insisted on knowing the whereabouts of the security officers guarding the house, and on knowing that they were not on duty, they ransacked the entire house, destroying a safe close to the SSA’s office in the process.

According to a private security guard, Alhaji Adamu , who was on duty when the gunmen invaded the place, the armed men numbering 10 banged on the gate ordering him to open it.

His words “I asked them what they wanted and they said they were sent from the Police headquarters. I saw them wearing mopol shirts and trousers and I opened the gate. Immediately they came in, they pushed me into my room and demanded the keys to the main house which I told them I did not have. They used an electric cable to tie my hands and legs and also sealed my mouth.”

The security guard further stated that the gunmen searched his room from where they found a bag containing bunch of keys with which they used in entering the main house.
