The House of Representatives has resolved to probe the administration of former President, Goodluck Jonathan over the sale of Nigeria’s power infrastructure to private investors.

The Lower Chambers in a resolution on the motion titled, “Alleged Non-transparent and Fraudulent Sale of Power Assets by the Bureau of Public Enterprise, BPE, ” by the Jonathan’s administration, regretted what it termed lack of openness in the processes leading to the sale of power assets by the previous administration.

In his lead debate, the sponsor of the motion, John Chike Okafor, who represents Ehime Mbano/Ihitte Uboma/Obowo Federal Constituency of Imo State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the House stressed the importance of power to every business, family, public or private institution, household and the general growth of the nation’s economy.
