Report on DSS’ raid of my house false – Justice Liman

Contrary to media reports and insinuations in some quarters that the Department of State Security (DSS) also carried a raid on the residence of the Justice of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Justice Abdullahi Liman, the Judge has revealed to the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee undertaking a public hearing that his house was not the target.

Making appearance before the committee at the National Assembly Complex on Wednesday, Justice Liman revealed that the raid was actually carried out on the residence of Justice Mrs. Uche Agomoh and not his residence.

“Mr. Chairman, I must state categorically that the SSS did not come to my house, which is No. 33 but it was it was the house of Justice U. Agomoh they targeted”, he revealed.

He, however, added that the statement released by the DSS the following day and the publication released by an online newspaper, also added to the “misinformation and disinformation ” in the public.

“The Sahara Reporters however, set the tone of the narrative by identifying the unknown Judge to be Justice Abdullahi M. Liman and this triggered an unending cascade of misinformation and disinformation,” he said.

Justice Liman also used the avenue to debunk the report by the DSS that the sum of $2m was allegedly “removed” from “his house to an unknown place,” with the aid of Governor Nyesom Wike and the security agencies.

“Mr. Chairman, I feel pained by this frightening event, especially the denigration of my reputation that followed the unending negative our publications aimed at socially and professionally destroying me completely,” Justice Liman submitted.
