Rep-elect applauds Tinubu, Nigerians for actualising change

National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been extolled for his doggedness and steadfastness which led to the successful merger of three opposition parties to form the APC, as well as the victory recorded by the emergent party in the last general election.

This commendation came from a member-elect of the House of Representatives, Engr Magaji Dau Aliyu, who is to represent Birnin Kudu/Buji Federal Constituency, of Jigawa State in the 8th Assembly.

Speaking in an interview in Abuja, he also commended Nigerians for their resolve to entrench quality leadership that can bring about development in the country by trooping out to vote during the election and for particularly voting President Muhammadu Buhari.

The soon-to-be lawmaker noted that through the dexterity of Tinubu and other leaders of the party, Nigeria had been liberated from the stronghold of bad leadership which had stifled development in the country.

His words, “We are grateful to Tinubu for his focus. He is one of the many Nigerians and leaders of our party who stood firm in their belief that change is possible in Nigeria and worked tirelessly to see to it that the change happens. The Nigerian electorates are also to be commended because they are the ones who made the change possible. They believed in our message and came out to vote and ensure that their votes counted to entrench change.

“The past 16 years of our democracy and the leadership; we have had those past years fell short of the expectations of Nigerians and Nigerians were able to express their disenchantment with the state of affairs in the way they voted in the governorship, national, state assemblies and presidential elections,” Aliyu said.
