Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has dismissed the claim that the sacked Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Lawal Daura, was working with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Operatives of the DSS had yesterday barricaded the National Assembly, preventing lawmakers and civil servants from gaining access.
However, the lawmakers later forced their way into the complex.
Shortly after the incident, the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo fired Daura over DSS involvement in the siege.
Subsequently, speculations emerged that both Saraki and Daura were working together to “disgrace” the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
Reacting to the insinuations, Omokri cautioned Nigerians against believing such lies.
In a tweet, the former presidential aide insisted that Daura was the face of the cabal in the current government.
He tweeted, “Their latest lie is that Daura, the disgraced DSS DG who wept like a little girl when he was arrested, was working for @BukolaSaraki. Believe this and you will believe anything! Daura was the face of the cabal. He is from the same village as @MBuhari #FrustrateBuhariDictatorship.”
