FC Koln striker Anthony Ujah, is eager to pull on the colours of Nigeria, following his recent goalscoring streak in Germany.
The 24-year-old was the talk of social media, after he celebrated scoring in their 4-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, by grabbing the horns of the club’s mascot, Hennes the goat.
Ujah has now scored three times in Koln’s last four games, as the club fights to remain the top division – the Billy Goats are currently 11th with 28 points. Ujah is responsible for nine of the 25 games the Bundesliga outfit has scored this campaign.
“I’m satisfied with my form at the moment and helping my club to stay in the Bundesliga at the end of the season,” Ujah told Goal.
“And if that’s good enough to be recalled to the national team, it’ll be the decision of the national team handlers.”
The quick frontman, also admitted that he grew up admiring players like Kanu Nwankwo and Victor Agali.
“Kanu Nwankwo was a house hold name while I was growing up and someone I looked up to due to his goal scoring exploits,” he said.
“But as I started football and wanted to be a striker, I admired [Victor] Agali so much because of his goals, mostly with the head.”
Ujah failed to find the back of the net in his previous outings for the Super Eagles.
