Presidential Media Aide, Lauretta Onochie has hit hard on ace lawyer, Mike Ozekhome for faulting the President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption war.
Onochie tagged the respected and highly feared lawyer a ‘scum’ for trying to rubbish the efforts of the current government in bringing corruption on its kneels.
She was reacting to a recent statement credited to Ozekhome where he said that the billions of Dollars, Pounds and Naira, found in an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was all an “arrangee discoveries” meant to divert attention from the hunger, squalor, fear, disease, non-performance and cluelessness of APC government.
Ozekhome had said, “The farcical story that National Intelligence Agency NIA, Nigeria’s external secret Police has claimed ownership of the sum of $43.4m, £27, 800 and N23.2m is total hogwash, bunkum and balderdash.”
Reacting to Ozekhome’s comment on Monday, Onochie accused him of being double-mouthed.
She said Ozekhome, who is a lawyer to Ekiti state governor and number one critic of president Buhari, Ayodele Fayose, was part of those rubbishing president Buhari’s anti-corruption war.
She said, “Scum truly. Speaks from both sides of the mouth. An advocate for corruption and a lead of corruption fighting back, Can’t be taken seriously.”
Just few days ago, Onochie slammed Zamfara State Governor; Abdulaziz Yari for saying God was punishing Nigerians with meningitis for their sins of fornication.
