Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has rested Cristiano Ronaldo for their Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg at home to Leganes on Wednesday.
However, centre-back Sergio Ramos, is set to feature for the first time in 2018.
Ronaldo left the pitch during Sunday’s 7-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna with a cut to his face.
The Portugal captain had a swollen, blackened eye when he returned to training on Tuesday.
He is not expected to miss the weekend fixture at third-placed Valencia.
A Madrid squad announcement said Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Marcelo would also sit the game out with Madrid 1-0 up from the first leg.
