Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Özil, has reacted to his side’s pre-season friendly 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the early hours of Wednesday in Maryland, USA.
Arsenal raced into a two-goal lead against the LaLiga giants, thanks to Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the first half.
But Real Madrid were level within 15 minutes of the restart.
Embattled winger Gareth Bale and midfielder Marco Asensio netted for the Zinedine Zidane’s men.
Reacting, Ozil took to his Twitter handle on Wednesday to thank Arsenal fans for their support during the encounter.
He also said it was good for him to see his former teammate, Marcelo in Maryland.
He twitted: “It was good to see you bro @MarceloM12. Thank You once again to all our supporters in the USA 🇺🇸 #backtoLondon #M1Ö #YaGunnersYa.”
Arsenal will now tackle Lyon on Sunday, July 28 in their next fixture.
