Real Madrid midfielder, Carlos Casemiro, has reflected on the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo from the club.
The Spanish giants, who allowed Ronaldo join Juventus this summer, lost 4-2 to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday. That was their first competitive game since the Portuguese’ departure.
Casemiro admitted they missed Ronaldo’s presence against Diego Simeone’s side.
Speaking about the match, the Brazilian was quoted by Express Sports as saying, “Sure, we cannot cover things.
“Cristiano showed here that he has been the best in the world.
“But it is already past, we cannot keep thinking about him.
“We have to talk about the players we have. We want to make a stronger, more solid team, but Cristiano is already in the past.”
