Zinedine Zidane’s ambition of returning to management with Manchester United, is not going down well with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Spanish newspaper, El Confidencial, reports that Perez is “disturbed” by reports that the Zidane, who guided the club to three successive Champions League trophies, has set his sights on succeeding Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Mourinho eased the pressure on himself with a 2-0 win at Burnley before the international break, but it is believed he is walking a tightrope.
Zidane is said to be “preparing himself” to take charge at Old Trafford and is said to be “expecting the call” from the club.
The Frenchman cited exhaustion as his reason for leaving the Bernabeu, despite Perez’s wishes that he stay on.
