Real Madrid on fire – Mourinho speaks on Zidane’s struggles, Ronaldo’s return

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has claimed that Real Madrid are “on fire”.

Mourinho was asked about re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo, with the former United forward linked with a return to Old trafford.

He replied by pointing that Real are in crisis and he does not want to escalate tensions by speaking on a possible deal for his compatriot.

“I think in the moment Real Madrid are in now, I should be the last one to add fuel to the fire. Madrid is on fire, the results are not good but I work there 3 years, to put some water in the fire only one club can have Cristiano,” Mourinho told newsmen on Thursday, ahead of their FA Cup tie agaisnt Yeovil.

However, Mourinho was glad to land Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, in a deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move to the Emirates.

The Portuguese took time to hail his new man and speak about his role in the team.

“He has been in England for a long time, everybody knows the player he is, what he did at Arsenal, in the PL he has shown the quality he has. We got one of the best attacking players in the world.

“Everywhere in the attacking positions, I’ve known him for many many years. I saw him play on the right, on the left, as a striker and behind the striker. These are Alexis’ positions,” he said.
