Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague, has claimed that Real Madrid have made inquiries about Manchester United’s David De Gea and Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois.
Balague said this while answering questions via his Sky Sports weekly column on Monday.
When asked if it was true that United want Toni Kroos as part of a player-plus-cash deal for David de Gea, he replied: “My understanding is there is no link between the two. Real Madrid have enquired about a price for David de Gea and they have done the same to Chelsea for Thibaut Courtois.
“They want one of the two but Toni Kroos has nothing to do with the deal. By the way, with Mourinho in charge of Manchester United I see very unlikely that he would let De Gea go.”
De Gea was on the brink of signing for the La Liga giants in 2015, but the transfer collapsed at the last minute.
The 26-year-old returned to Old Trafford and signed a new contract that will run out in 2019.
