“Real Madrid are not interested in Suarez, they want Bale” – Hunter

Respected journalist, Graham Hunter, has revealed that Real Madrid will not enter a bidding war for Luis Suarez with Arsenal, as they are desperately chasing Gareth Bale.

He said: “Suarez not a priority for Real Madrid. Their number one target is Bale.”

Hunter’s comments, which supports an article in Madrid-based paper, Marca, is bad news for both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspurs. Anfield officials have already rejected a £40,000,001 bid from Arsenal – which triggers a complicated clause in Suarez’s contract – and were hoping that Madrid would come in for the striker, after they sold Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli for £32m. From the looks of it, it’s either he stays or leaves for the Emirates.

The 26-year-old is keen to move to London and is ready to hand in a transfer request to force through the move.

Suarez made his first appearance for the Reds on Wednesday, after the biting incident that involved Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and set up the second goal during his 18-minute cameo. However, his body language was bad, as if he would rather not be there.
