Real Madrid announce Isco’s signing

Real Madrid have confirmed that Isco is set to sign for the club, subject to the completion of a medical.

The Malaga midfielder, has been linked with both Madrid and Manchester City, where his immediate past coach, Manuel Pellegrini has taken over.

However, the 21-year-old has decided to remain in Spain and will now become Carlo Ancelotti’s first summer signing.

“Real Madrid and Malaga have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Francisco Roman Alarcon ‘Isco’, who will remain attached to the club for the next five seasons,” the short statement said. “He will pass his medical examination on Wednesday July 3, and will be presented at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu,” an official Real Madrid statement read.

Malaga also confirmed Isco’s impending departure on their site stating, “Malaga Club de Futbol have reached an agreement for the transfer with Real Madrid of the player Francisco Alarcón Suárez ‘Isco’. “Malaga CF wants to thank Isco, and his family, for his impeccable commitment and behaviour as a malaguista, and for all the good moments he gifted to the blanquiazul fans. In the same way, the club wishes luck and a successful future to the player from Arroyo de la Miel.”
