Enugu Rangers coach, Imama Amapakabo, is in line for an improved deal from the club.
His N1million-a-month deal expired on the day he led the Flying Antelopes, to their first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title in 32 years.
It is understood that Amapakabo and his players took pay cuts, in their bid to end a long wait for the title.
Rangers have now moved to reward him, especially with speculations linking him with South African club, Chippa United and two NPFL teams, Enyimba and Kano Pillars.
“There is no vacancy in Rangers. Imama is not going anywhere,” Enugu State Sports Commissioner, Charles Ndukwe, insisted.
“And whatever any club is offering him, we will better it.
“He is already planning to bring down his family to Enugu from Port Harcourt.”
