Rangers’ players refuse to train over unpaid allowances

Rangers’ preparations for their Nigeria Premier Football League clash against Shooting Stars on Sunday, took a blow after the players decided to stay away from training on Friday.

According to reports, they took this decision in protest of non-payment of their salaries.

According to Complete Sports, the players have not been paid for five months by the management of the club.

This further compounds the problems at the club, as Rangers have been off form in recent weeks. The Enugu side have won only twice in their last 11 games in all competitions.

Last weekend, they were defeated 2-0 by Oriental rivals, Heartland of Owerri and were hoping to recapture some form against their old rivals this weekend.
