Enugu Rangers’ chief executive, Christian Chukwu, has insisted that they are not afraid of Egyptian club, Zamalek, but admits they respect the five-time African champions.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions travel to Egypt next month for the first leg, with the return leg in Enugu a week later.
The winner over the two legs, will qualify for the money-spinning stage of the CAF Champions League.
“We are fully ready for Zamalek. We respect them but we are not afraid of them,” Chukwu said.
“We have already started preparation ahead of that encounter.
“The match against JS Saoura of Algeria was an eye opener and it has put our players in continental mood.”
Rangers eliminated JSS from Algeria on the away goals rule in the previous round.
